The County’s Maui Metropolitan Planning Organization sought consulting services to update the Regional Federal-Aid Highways 2035 Transportation Plan for the District of Maui to become the Maui MPO Long-Range Transportation Plan. The LRTP 2040 serves as the regional transportation plan for the island of Maui, identifying long-range and short-range actions that lead to the development of an integrated multimodal transportation system to facilitate the safe and efficient movement of people and goods in addressing current and future transportation needs. Munekiyo Hiraga served as the community outreach and engagement consultant for the project.
