The Agriculture Development Corporation proposed construction of five (5) flow control and monitoring stations within the Waimea River and its tributaries in Waimea on Kaua‘i. The ditch system has provided agricultural irrigation water and hydroelectric power to residents since it was built in 1907. Munekiyo Hiraga assisted with land use approvals and provided coordination with the State Historic Preservation Division.
