Hawaiian Cement proposes the relocation of its existing trans-shipment cement facility at Kahului Harbor. The State of Hawai‘i, Department of Transportation, Harbors Division requires the relocation of the facility as part of implementation of the 2012 Kahului Harbor Development Plan. The relocation of the facility involves development of two (2) silos, a warehouse building, and related site improvements. Upon completion of the new facility, the existing facility will be demolished. Munekiyo Hiraga prepared the Environmental Assessment and secured Special Management Area, shoreline and variance approvals from the Planning Commission.
