Ikaika Ohana and the Hawai‘i Housing Development and Finance Corporation (HHFDC) are developing the Kaiāulu o Kūkuʻia affordable housing community in Lahaina, Maui. The development, formerly known as the Keawe Street Apartments, is located within HHFDC’s Villages of Leiali‘i community across of the Lahaina Business Park and will provide for 200 units of affordable housing for families earning 60 percent of area median income or less. The community includes 25 two-story buildings containing apartment units and amenities such as two (2) large community centers with kitchens, tech centers, game rooms, and a preschool. Munekiyo Hiraga prepared and processed a 201H Affordable Housing Approval from the Maui County Council.
