    Emily Murai

    Emily was born and raised in Hilo on the Big Island. While in high school, her family relocated to Maui where she graduated from Baldwin High School. Emily went on to attend the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa earning a B.A. in American Studies.

    Emily began her career as a teacher for the Philadelphia School District through the Teach for America program and earned her Masters of Science in Urban Education from the University of Pennsylvania. She later worked for a pharmaceutical consulting company in Philadelphia where she was introduced to regulatory operations and Electronic Common Technical Documents (eCTD) submissions before returning to Hawai’i in 2018. Upon her return, Emily worked in human resources at a local staffing agency before joining Munekiyo Hiraga as an Associate.

    In her free time, Emily enjoys painting and taking her dogs to the beach or on hikes.

    Something you didn’t know:
    Emily is a true crime aficionado and loves watching documentaries, listening to podcasts and reading up on all things true crime, including murder mysteries, scams and cults.
