    Cy Yoshizu, Associate

    Cy was born and raised on the island of Maui. After graduating from Baldwin High School, he attended University of Hawai‘i Maui College and University of Hawaiʻi, West Oʻahu, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences. While attending school, he worked for UH Maui College’s school newspaper and as a tutor with the Pai Ka Mana Student Support Services Program, which served low income and first generation students and students with disabilities. He went on to earn his Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. While attending UH Mānoa, he was an active status member of the Accounting Club and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

    After graduating from UH Mānoa, Cy worked with the County of Maui, Department of Water Supply – Fiscal Division. He then returned back to his alma mater to work for UH Maui College’s Office of Extended Learning and Workforce Development (Edventure) as an Instructional and Fiscal Support Specialist and then briefly with the Enrollment Management Office.

    In his free time, Cy enjoys spending time with his family and friends, gardening, and watching University of Hawai’i sports.

    Something you didn’t know:
    Cy attained the rank of Eagle Scout with Pukalani LDS Troop 35 of the Boy Scouts of America. For his Eagle Scout project, Cy constructed benches for Pomaika‘i Elementary School.
