    Yukino Uchiyama, Manager

    Yukino was born in Toyama and raised in Hokkaido, Japan. While earning her Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Waseda University, she studied abroad at Portland State University in Oregon. She went on to attend the Bartlett School of Planning at the University College London and received her Master’s degree in Urban Planning with an emphasis in Sustainability in Urban Environments

    Yukino began her career in Tokyo, working as an associate in an architecture and planning firm. She gained knowledge and experience in community development, real estate economics, and market analysis on housing and hotels. Her work included preparing a masterplan for a PPP (Public-Private Partnership) project for a local council, facilitating workshops with local residents, and preparing market studies/pro-forma analyses for mixed-use and hotel projects in various locations throughout Japan.

    She relocated to Hawaii in 2016 and joined Munekiyo Hiraga in 2017 in their Oahu Office.

    Something you didn’t know:
    Yukino loves music. She started playing Brazilian music when she was in college and is still pursuing her passion for it.
